Chris Coffey, Minister of Music/Multimedia
MINISTER OF MUSIC/MULTIMEDIA
CHRIS COFFEY
Hello, my name is Chris Coffey and I have the awesome responsibility of being the minister of music, media, and youth here at Fairview. First of all, thanks for stopping by our website to see what we are all about here. So, you wanna know about me? OK, here goes..
Born on November 3rd 1964, and accepted Jesus Christ on November 10th, 1974 at the age of 10. Attended the Russell Springs First Baptist Church, where I sang in the choir there up until 1990. Started traveling with a group of guys and sang lead for the group “Brother’s Keeper” until 1997. My family and I relocated to Monticello, KY and in 1999 I accepted my first staff position as Worship Leader at Steubenville Baptist Church, where I served both as a Worship Leader as well as the Senior High School student leader until October of 2006, when I felt God leading me back home to Russell County.
I accepted the Minister of Music position at Fairview in Oct 2006, and took over the Student ministry in July of 2007.
I love both students and music, and cannot think of anywhere else I’d rather be. Fairview is a loving, genuine “family” of believers who come together and lift up Jesus. God has blessed us with a fantastic group of musicians, and singers, a great sounding choir, and an awesome group of students and student leaders.
“Hooked up” student ministries consists of age appropriate teaching for children of all ages, and we have a desire to see students and children grow up and become intimate followers of Jesus.
The praise and worship band is dedicated to presenting the gospel through every genre of music, and we want every person to leave our services hearing something that ministers to them. You’ll hear contemporary music, as well as traditional music, and even though the music may change on any given song, the message never will.
I am married to Christa, and we have three incredible kids, Ashley, Zachary and Maddie. We also have a golden retriever named “Drake” from (Drake and Josh) and a cat named “Toby” (after Toby Mac). We are a crazy bunch, but we love each other.
If I can ever help you in any way, just e-mail me at chris@fairviewbaptistchurch.us
I’m looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Shalom,
~Chris
