Rick Mann is thankful to be Pastor of the Fairview Baptist Church family. He was born in 1966 at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Indiana, and was raised in Hartford City, Indiana. He graduated from Blackford High School in 1985, and went on to graduate from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana, in 1989, with a B.S. degree majoring in Economics. He was the first football player in college history to become an NAIA First Team All American. Rick became an Indiana State Police officer in 1990, and served until 1994. In 1992 while vacationing at Lake Cumberland Rick met the young lady who became his “Love Forever”. Her name was Susan Carol Branscum, a native of Russell Springs.
Rick was “born again” on January 1st, 1993 and in May of the same year he and Susan were married. They resided in Indiana for eight months before moving to Kentucky in February 1994. There oldest son Barton was born in April of that same year. They now have four children, Barton (94), Brooklyn (96), Braxton (97), and Blake (01).
Rick answered the call to preach on March 9th, 2003, and became pastor of Fairview Baptist Church on October 9th, 2005. Rick and Susan are bi-vocational, as they own and operate 5 McDonald’s restaurants. Rick is currently pursuing a Masters in Theology degree at Campbellsville University.
As a representative of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Rick desires for everyone to know that Christ died and has been resurrected so they can live forever and become a “fisher of men” themselves. Fairview has a Christ-like desire for people everywhere to “Come, Connect, Care, and Change”. “C4” is our vision. Come just as you are, Connect with Christ, Care for others, and Change to become more like Jesus Christ, and you just might CHANGE the world! Can you see it? Hallelujah, Praise the Lord, and THANK YOU JESUS!!!
